african art images

When we look at African art, which often are works that are very different from the "first world" of art. In all the arts, we find artists who challenge their ideas and concepts and visions.

In African art, particularly art Shona, shows different views. There are a few teachers, men and women explore their feelings and are able to express these feelings in their work. But training for this job is very different, because there is no formal schools where they can be "trained." Instead, working with talented artists and explore their capabilities and their vision and originality. Of course, many would get a "copy" a set of skills, and make copies of images, but this is all they can do. Ideal for tourism, but it's not the depth of creativity we look for in talented artists.

We have, and do, explore the creativity of Shona sculpture, which requires us to develop an understanding of the artist and his expressions. Our view is the "spirit of rock and soul artist. "When they get together at this point, we have the outstanding expression and joy in the sculptures. Because created from natural stone we also examined the materials used and the quality associated with the results.

The pebble beaches of soft to hard, common to rare. In South Africa we have some of the oldest rock formations in the world, recognized by geologists, but rarely for others. The stone is varied, and some types are unique in the color and quality, while others are common. Among the stones are common "soapstone", often called "Rapoko" a very soft stone that is easily can deteriorate with exposure to air – easy to carve, but also easy to damage and bruising.

Hard stone require much talent and experience to work with, as Springstone and Verditer. Using these rough stones require the confidence and talent and years of experience, but the results can be surprising. When the artist Stone works may reveal features that have become part of the finished product and the artist's vision is to change the course of evolution work. What emerges, This wonderful combination of Stone Spirit and soul of the artist's originality and uniqueness.

Shona sculpture is Picasso in Paris in the decade 1960. I have spoken with many teachers Shona, but Picasso's name means nothing to them – so when I see Shona sculpture that are similar to those in the art of Picasso, the discussion I have discovered and what influenced whom. Original Art is the only conclusion I can reach.
